Membership

We believe that salvation makes someone a member of God's universal church. Local church membership is implied through biblical commands for pastors to pay careful attention to the flock they have been entrusted to oversee by the Holy Spirit, and for Christians to "submit" to their leaders as those who will give an account for their souls (Acts 20:28, Heb 13:17). Local church membership promotes unity, provides genuine accountability, and serves to present a credible gospel witness to the community.
